My small group is using the “One Minute Bible for Students” as the basis of our weekly meetings. This week the passages all have to do with the names of God. One grabbed my attention as I was reading last night.
“The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2)
When I think of being in a shadow, I think of close proximity. If I desire God to be my refuge, I need to remain close to Him. If I trust Him and count on Him for protection and guidance, then I am living in His shadow. He is right there, leading, guiding, talking . . . and I need to listen
I want to live each day in His shadow.
