The Angles 14u team have added the Hershey USJN Tournament to their victory list. They went 7-0 for the weekend beating a Philadelphia team 63-53 in the championship game. They also beat teams from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Scores for the game are as follows:
The Angels have been playing well this weekend in the USJN Tournament in Hershey, PA. We are down a few of our regular starters due to playing with their high school teams, but the two girls who have been training with the team have stepped in and done a great job. This weekend we have two “Sydneys” on the team…a Sydney B. & a Sydney D.
The girls have beaten teams from New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Sydney B. has played well, scoring 21 pts. in one game and 22 in another. The Angels play in the semi-final tonight with finals tomorrow.
The Cincinnati Angels Basketball Club traveled to Toledo and won the USJN Tournament there. That’s three tournaments in a row they have won and so far only have 1 loss on the season. Cheryl and I were able to make the drive to see the first two games and Syd played well. Due to an injury she was inserted into the starting line up and did a good job.
The other “win” for our family is that we have a house under contract! It took right at two years to sell Cheryl’s house, but we have a solid contract on that one and we reached an agreement on a home for us over the weekend. We are excited about how God has taken care of things to this point and are grateful for how He has worked. Now, it’s a matter of wading through all the paperwork to sell and buy….but it is exciting! Look forward to putting some pictures up in the future.
The Cincinnati Angels 14U team won the USJN Tournament in Champaign, IL, this past weekend. I wasn’t able to attend, but my son sent me some texts to keep me posted.
The big game of the weekend was the semi-final game. The Angels were down 20 at the half and came back to beat a team from Indiana that won the Deep South Tourney in North Carolina back in April. Must have been exciting to see.
The 14U Angels have played in three tournaments so far, won two of them and lost only one game. Not a bad start to the summer. Syd had 24 points in the championship game. Way to go Angels!
